Registered Nurse (RN) | Cardiovascular Operating Room Location: Sacramento, CA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $3,812 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/17/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified CVOR RN in Sacramento, California, 95819! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8-hour Varied shifts call Hours per Shift: 40 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience License: Required Certifications: BLS (AHA) Must-Have: Strong CVOR experience Ability to scrub in surgeries Ability to read and interpret EKG strips Confident in skills Description: Med-Sol conducts a profile review of candidates. Candidates need 2 supervisory references. One reference must be within the last 12 months and one within the last 3 years. Unit requires candidates to scrub in for surgeries. There are 8-hour shifts, and call is associated if cases run long. Schedules are posted for two pay periods. Weekend scheduling is needed on an as-needed basis. Candidates must cover 3 shifts on the weekend per month. The unit conducts 4-6 surgeries per day. Charge Nurse oversees the overall operations. Weekend requirements include 1 weekend call per month. Holiday rotations are done with core staff. The scrub color will be provided. Telemetry is used, and candidates must have the ability to read and interpret EKG strips. Ventilator experience is preferred but not required. Surgeons are available 24/7 during regular hours. Call responsibilities include overnight and weekend coverage. Orientation includes 1-2 days in the OR with a preceptor. Common diagnoses include CABG, valves, and all heart surgeries, excluding thoracic procedures. This is a very busy and fast-paced operating room. Candidates must possess strong confidence in their skills. The hospital has a cancellation policy that allows for the cancellation of up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.
