part of the Visa's Technology organization. The division is tasked
with maintaining Visa's data assets and providing value added
products and services that drive innovation for our partners and
clients, within Visa and Globally. The Business Intelligence &
Analytics team provides systems and services to make data high
quality, rich, fast and accessible therefore enabling our clients
to leverage our data asset in an effective and timely manner to
prioritize business spend on insights from Visa ecosystem breadth
of which distinguishes us from others in the payments
industry.ResponsibilitiesA successful candidate thrives in a
fast-paced environment, has customer obsession, thinks big, and
knows to simplify. - The candidate will leverage sound
architectural principles to implement effective and efficient
solutions for our users.The ideal candidate has strong technical
foundation in Big Data and have a good written and verbal
communication skills. The ideal candidate has experience developing
modern data insights applications both on premise and in the Cloud
scaled for adhoc access by multiple users, is passionate about
performance, testability, and maintainability, cares about quality
of code, and loves to learn new technologies.Define and deliver
high quality code for features and bug fixes working
independentlyEnhance and support production systemsFollow
established software development guidelines and Visa security
standardsBuild and maintain relationships with the agile team, the
user community, architects, and support teams to understand
requirements and implement effective solutionsWork closely with the
development team to implement the required solutions following
agile practicesIdentify opportunities for further enhancements and
refinements to standards and processesKeep up with industry in
terms of technology and best practices and help drive innovation
internally.This is an on-site position. An on-site position must be
consistently performed at an assigned Visa office location and
require daily commute to the office location.QualificationsBasic
Qualifications--- 4 or more years of relevant work experience with
a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or at least 1 years of work
experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) ---
4+ years working with Big Data technologies such as Hive, YARN and
Spark --- 2+ years working with public cloud technologies such as
AWS + Snowflake or Google + BigQuery--- Excellent Java and Python
programming skills.--- Experience working in an Agile environment
with good software development practices such as CI/CD, code
reviews and test automation--- Strong problem-solving skills---
Strong attitude towards getting things done while maintaining
regard for code quality--- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and
written communication skillsPreferred Qualifications--- 5 or more
years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 2 or more
years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters,
MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD---
Excellent troubleshooting skills--- Continuous delivery and Dev Ops
experience - infrastructure automation, monitoring, logging,
auditing and security implementation and practices--- Experience
with GIT/Stash, Maven and Jenkins--- Experience with RDBMS and
NoSQL databases like MySQL, DB2, Redis, HBASE and Cassandra---
Experience with public cloud services - AWS, Azure and data
manipulation technologies like SnowflakeAdditional InformationVisa
