Job Description:Director, Product Marketing and Go-to-marketReporting into:VP of Product Marketing and GTMLocation:California, Washington, New YorkDescription:Rakuten Advertising is looking for a Director, Product Marketing and GTM to drive the product marketing and go-to-market strategy for a core Rakuten product suite globally. As a leader in Rakuten Advertising's Product Marketing and Go-to-market organization, this person will be a critical driver in Rakuten Advertising's growth and will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, influencing our product strategy, and driving go-to-market strategy to bring our solutions to life. Reporting to the VP of Product Marketing and Go-to-market, the Senior Manager / Director will partner with the product team to plan product / feature launches and the commercial team to effectively communicate product benefits.The ideal candidate must demonstrate excellent problem solving, analytical, communication, and product positioning skills, thrive in an ambiguous environment, and drive impact across teams.Role & Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to a culture of excellence and high-performance, while ensuring a positive experience for the teams and leaders you work with.
  • Create and own go-to-market strategy for a set of products globally, as well as new product features and launches.
  • Drive our position in an increasingly competitive market by creating clear value props, messaging, and positioning for product lines and target segments.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and execute regional programs and initiatives. Make recommendations from insight to drive best practice and revenue growth.
  • Actively promote important projects internally, including but not limited to training content, feedback collection, and working collaboratively with sales enablement and product adoption. Key Requirements:
    • Education:BA/BS or equivalent work experience. MBA strongly preferred, but not required.
    • Work Experience:-10+ years of work experience with global technology companies in a product marketing capacity. Advertising technology experience preferred, but not required (especially affiliate, display, search, attribution, etc.).
      • Product Marketing Knowledge:Proven experience managing product launches, determining product-market fit, and relevant activities, including developing content for blogs, marketing, and press relations.
      • Analytical Skills:Ability to independently synthesize internal and third-party data to identify business opportunity. Ability to design business cases and manage junior team members across multiple projects.
      • Communication:Experience communicating to senior leadership is required. Outstanding communication skills to translate complex technology concepts into simple and understandable messaging. Strong cross-functional communication is critical. You will be operating in an international environment - you will often be interacting with teams that span -4 continents.
      • Organizing and Planning:Experience leading strategic projects across multiple teams with the ability to manage up and across an organization, functions and teams; comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can juggle tasks with an ability to prioritize critical projects.
      • Adaptability:Ability to respond and adapt to changing circumstances and to manage, solve problems and provide solutions in a climate of ambiguity. Can manage multiple deliverables at once, and understand changing business need to prioritize work efforts.
      • Team Player:Proven ability to manage strong working relationships cross-functionally and with team members. Demonstrated experience building credibility with and delivering results for product teams, sales teams and customers.
