Associate Community Manager is needed for a contract opportunity
with our client in the Entertainment industry - must be located in
the San Mateo, CA area.
- 1 Year contract with the possibility of extension
- $40-$53hr DOE
- ON-SITE

Job Description:
The Associate Community Manager will be responsible for
establishing and growing our communities around supported games
with a proficiency in player communications, feedback cycles, and
deployment and maintenance of best practices. They will contribute
to the development of the global community strategy, creating and
executing global plans, and work with a distributed international
team that is focused on building relationships and earning trust
with players around the world. This position will sit between
content, program design and tournament operations, contributing to
improving Tournaments content and programs through player feedback
and recommendations. This position will also provide their guidance
to cross-functional team members, facilitating collaborative
planning and executing commitments at high quality standards.
What you'll do:
- Shape community-focused strategies, content campaigns, and
development support to serve the community needs, production, and
marketing objectives.
- Manage community communications and act as a primary
spokesperson for Tournaments, leading conversations and ongoing
dialogue within your communities online
- Define and report on content KPI's to demonstrate success and
ROI of community programs and content.
- Manage and execute communication, content distribution,
activities and initiatives with multiple interdisciplinary
stakeholders to ensure quality and positive player
experience
- Develop and execute community engagement plans through a
variety of content tactics which augment the overall marketing
strategy; includes but not limited to contributing to the creation
of assets such as video blogs, podcasts, interviews, annotated
screenshots and game guides.
- Act as a primary representative for players' needs within the
team to positively influence program and content development and
communications positioning on behalf of our players and business
objectives.
- Manage and produce internal reports on community reaction,
activities and output.
- Coordinate community-centric events including, but not limited
to, physical events, content opportunities and tournaments.
- Shape player feedback cycles and provide insights to the team
to influence game experiences, stimulate user retention, and assist
in positioning messaging and marketing beats.
Who you are:
- A minimum of 2+ years' experience working professionally with
brand communications, forums, or social media
- Experience presenting complex concepts in an easily understood,
player-friendly manner
- Intermediate experience managing online communities and
developing strategy
- Experience with channel management, publishing calendars,
reporting, and analytics
- Ability to meet deliverables amid a fast-paced, high-volume
environment
- Strong writing and editing skills used to quickly develop
detailed communications
- Able to confidently communicate about Tournaments products with
the public
- Detail-oriented and driven to organize and re-prioritize tasks
and decisions under regularly shifting requirements and
deadlines
- Strong team player, able to balance and blend the needs of
various departments and stakeholders, both internal and external,
into effective strategies
