The Role
Cala Health is seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to help drive our Digital Business Engineering solutions across Commercial, Operational, and Digital teams. The TPM will break down complex business processes into manageable projects, partner with engineering to solve complex technical challenges, while balancing business needs versus technical constraints to drive successful execution initiatives in a timely and agile manner. Working at the cross-section between technical execution and business strategy, you will be enabling multi-disciplinary engineering projects. You will plan and manage project schedules, identify risks, and clearly communicate status to project stakeholders. Specific Responsibilities also include:


  • Account for all project management deliverables for the successful and timely launch of new products and services, including but not limited to implementation plan, project schedule, milestones, accomplishments, project budget and variances, issues and action items log, meeting minutes, risk assessments, change controls, prioritization and contingencies
  • Tracking program goals, business metrics, and indicators for success. Provide regular updates on project status, performance against milestones, and summaries of risks/contingencies
  • Drive definition and scope of initiatives by working closely with business customers to understand their needs, priorities, and ensure that they are captured in clearly established requirements
  • Communicate and establish clear expectations with both internal and external stakeholders involved in the project and manage to those expectations
  • Liaise between technical teams (developers and software development managers) and key business stakeholders. Coordinate user story brainstorming, review, and clarification sessions with software and quality engineering teams to deliver maximum customer value with available time constraints
  • Facilitate deep dives on key architectural components, collaborate with engineering and business leadership to enable discussions and influence timely outcomes on system design
  • Analyze work stream dependencies, change requests, prioritization, and the impact on downstream working groups
  • Reinforce standards, best practices, and modern development conventions
  • Anticipate problems and complications and formulate solutions so as not to impede the progress of the project; take responsibility and drive ownership for issue resolution
  • Facilitate, lead and coordinate design/implementation efforts between internal teams and external customers and/or partners

    Are you our Cala Candidate?

    • 7+ years of experience managing full life-cycle technical projects or programs of an increasingly large and complex scale in a related industry
    • Strong communication, client services, and interpersonal skills
    • Experience working with Salesforce and/or Netsuite implementations is a plus
    • Experience with organizing and leveraging Atlassian's Jira
    • Experience leading development lifecycles across heterogeneous (multiple technology) platforms
    • Experience working in an Agile delivery environment and tooling (Scrum)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication with multiple levels of leadership involving both business and technical sides of business
    • BA/BS in a Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent professional experience

      • Strong business technology solutions understanding
      • Experience working in medical device, regulated engineering, or product delivery organizations
      • Experience working with Cloud
      • Certification in Agile (SAFe or similar framework)
