Platform - to enable the products and solutions that serve those
needs. Traditionally delivered on-premises and self-managed, today
our customers are increasingly looking to leverage the power of the
cloud to reduce IT complexity, minimize operational costs, and
unlock innovations that can differentiate their business. More
specifically, they want to transition select insurance lines of
business for hosting in Guidewire Cloud so they can focus on
business agility while Guidewire assumes full operational
responsibility as a true Cloud/SaaS solution provider. Guidewire is
looking for a highly experienced product manager to drive the
development and growth of our automation tooling and integration
frameworks. You will lead a talented team of product managers,
P&C domain experts, and other key contributors focused on
optimizing and transforming the delivery of existing Guidewire
applications and drive the Guidewire Cloud Platform. Your
responsibility will include defining a product roadmap that enables
a value-focused, evolutionary customer journey to the cloud while
enhancing GWCP products to reduce the cost of cloud operations.
Automation and Integration include a suite of products: Integration
Gateway, App Events, Workflow Service, Business Functions, Dev
Connect, Cloud Rules, and others. These products, available
globally, enable Insurers to automate repetitive tasks as well as
connect Guidewire to upstream and downstream systems within their
ecosystems. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated,
results-oriented leader responsible for driving the end-to-end
enablement lifecycle from concept and requirements specification
through successful adoption by Guidewire cloud customers. As a key
member of the leadership team, you will own the overall strategy,
define the business and product plans, guide the execution, and be
accountable for successfully achieving both cloud adoption and
operating margin targets for this critical part of Guidewire's
business. Key Responsibilities
- Own the overall Guidewire automation and integration strategy,
roadmap, and execution plan to address the needs of both new and
existing customers.
- Be accountable for business, financial, and operations planning
processes required to ensure cloud-hosted products meet performance
expectations for customer adoption and revenue growth.
- Help evolve and refine Guidewire's agile development lifecycle
to accelerate delivery of capabilities to optimize cloud hosting of
existing products.
- Act as a key contributor and highly influential member of the
leadership team that commands attention and drives alignment across
a range of opinions, alternatives, and competing interests.
- Recruit and mentor a high-performance product management team,
ensuring members have the resources, skills, and capabilities
needed to deliver on our cloud-hosted value proposition.Required
Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of increasingly responsible product management
leadership experience in planning, launching, and oversight of
enterprise-class software products and solutions.
- 5+ years of experience in managing the definition and market
delivery of cloud-based and cloud-native business
applications.
- Direct experience with emerging business models and market
trends in SaaS and cloud-hosted environments to understand how this
influences cloud transition strategy and execution.
- Very strong business acumen and ability to plan, execute and
achieve market penetration, top-line revenue, and operating margin
targets across the product line.
- Excellent technical understanding of modern cloud technologies
including cloud stacks, IaaS cloud services, cloud-native
deployments, Kubernetes, microservices, containers, etc.
- Deep understanding of product management operational metrics
and KPIs to provide visibility and accountability across the
software development lifecycle.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
including the ability to present clearly and persuasively to
customers, partners, colleagues, and senior executives.
- Highly structured and well-organized individual with the
ability to successfully manage product management activities across
multiple, concurrently running cloud transition programs.
- Strong people management skills with proven success in
motivating, mentoring, and creating an environment where the best
talent wants to be.
- MA/MS and BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or
