Non-Profit Behavioral Health Agency is hiring for a Chief Financial
Officer. - -This is an executive position and part of the Senior
Executive Leadership Team. Reporting directly to the Chief
Executive Officer, -the Chief Financial Officer is a leader within
the organization who publicly embraces and represents the mission,
values, and goals of the organization and its various stakeholders.
Overseeing an annual budget of $50M, the CFO will direct the fiscal
functions per all applicable federal and state regulations,
following best financial management techniques and practices. The
CFO will manage strategic financial planning and analyses,
reporting, and record-keeping, as well as serve as a strategic
partner and advisor to the CEO and other members of the Senior
Executive Leadership Team (SELT).This well known and well
established agency provides psychiatry, medication management,
-outpatient substance use treatment, case management, supportive
housing, LGBTQ youth and youth care. - Our services cross age

-Responsibilities
- Direct and manage the finance and accounting teams and develop
the financial strategy for the organization in partnership and
collaboration with the CEO and the SELT
- Drive and manage the financial planning and budgeting processes
including creating and overseeing action plans to ensure annual
financial objectives are achieved.
- Direct revenue cycle operations to ensure that accounts
receivable are collected promptly and uncompensated care is
minimal.
- Achieve goals for cash collections, accounts receivable, and to
reduce bad debt and denials
- Routinely review revenue cycle metrics to proactively identify
and address issues affecting overall performance.
- Design and develop reporting formats for Board and Management
team for performance tracking and decision making.
- Ensure front-end revenue cycle processes are implemented
including making certain insurance verification is completed on all
patients.
- Maintain a thorough working knowledge of federal, state, county
and managed care reimbursement methodologies to ensure that the
agency -is paid accurately, revenue is maximized, and the
organization is positioned for future payment system changes.
- Collaborate regularly with the CEO, Chief Clinical Officer,
Regional Executive Directors, and Director of IT to develop
value-based metrics required in reimbursement methodology of public
and private insurance/payers.
- Work in partnership with the Chief Development Officer and CEO
to plan and collect revenue from development and fundraising
opportunities and collaborate with program leadership to support
grant management and reporting activities.
- Collaborate with the Chief People and Equity Officer to create
incentivized performance systems.
- Provide timely and accurate analyses of budgets, financial
reports, and trends to assist the CEO and other senior managers in
performing their responsibilities.
- Manages financial controls and accounting procedures including
developing and maintaining systems of internal financial controls
and adherence to accounting principles and procedures.Experience
- Master's degree in Accounting and Finance, Business
Administration, or related field.
- 10+ years of accounting and finance healthcare leadership
-expertise -with proven experience in a -significant senior-level
financial management role and a track record of strategic and
tactical leadership abilities.
- Knowledge and experience with health care finance and
reimbursement systems is required
- Deep knowledge about how financial optimization works within a
not-for profit framework
- Understanding of the operational and financial dynamics of
clinical care delivery.
- A genuine passion and deep appreciation for improving the
health of low-income communities
- Knowledge of all aspects of generally accepted accounting
