Job SummarySeeking a dynamic, highly motivated, and customer centric candidate! with special skills related to lean process improvements. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day activities of an assigned group of onsite lab services team members. Key service activities include: Scientific glasswash, chemical tracking procurement of lab supplies, management of lab coats/dry ice/gases. Other duties include; monitoring key department metrics to deliver high level service to customers. Handling customer questions and issues, researches and resolves customer discrepancies. Prepares schedules to cover departmental duties. Manages performance goals including appraisals, mentoring and coaching.BENEFITS

    • Oversight of Chemical Support & Lab Support Specialists team and point of contact for relationship and accountability between J&J and Avantor staff.
    • Management of team timecards, vacations, general scheduling of personnel activities, onboarding and offboarding, scope alignment, personnel reviews, and other typical management functions.
    • Support in the administrator functions of the ROATS system for supporting team members in their access and establishment of the system setup.
    • Handles initial onboarding setup for all employees including annual renewal tasks (badge, site access forms, safety videos, etc.)
    • Handle training adherence to ensure completion and follow up.
    • Establishing and providing metric packages to the customer at a regular frequency.
    • Implementation of all disciplinary/administrative functions in accordance with SOW/SOP adherence.
    • Responsibility for implementing and pursue activities to within the Site Services Agreement (SSA): chemical, freezer, and pipette management, glasswash, lab Services, equipment, shipping of samples, BSL 2+ Support, vivarium support, and solvent deliveries.QUALIFICATIONS
      • BS degree required; in a science related field
      • 3 years of management experience
      • Six Sigma Lean Training a plus
      • Experience in account development and implementation a plus
      • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Outlook and ExcelKNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
        • Conform to all customer requirements for background checks, health and safety issues, security clearances and medical checkups.
        • Knowledge of Information Access and ERP Systems; intermediate Microsoft Office Knowledge with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and basic understanding of Microsoft Access
        • Excellent customer service skills; display a professional can do demeanor.
        • Basic purchasing and inventory knowledge
        • High regard for safety, quality and adherence to protocols, policies and procedures
        • Must be flexible, adaptable, and multi-task oriented
        • Ability to self-manage and self-motivate; enlightened
        • Strong verbal and written communication skills to speak with both customers and various departments within VWR.
        • Proficient in trouble shooting
        • Understanding of, and ability to coordinate VWR's policies consistently
