Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Executive Director with a
strong background in Clinical Biomarker Science for Oncology and
Immuno-therapy to join our team. In this role, you will lead a
group of clinical biomarker scientists and be responsible for
overseeing clinical biomarker strategy and execution for some of
our oncology and immuno-therapy programs, as well as developing and
implementing innovative biomarker strategies to advance our
clinical trials.
The candidate will also contribute significantly to our clinical
development efforts as core member of our research governance
committees, and function core team member of our Translational
Medicine Leadership Team to provide scientific input for
translational and clinical biomarker strategy of all our
pipelines.
BeiGene is currently developing innovative therapies in oncology,
immunotherapy, and inflammation with different modalities including
traditional small molecules, protein degraders, monoclonal
antibodies, ADCs, bispecific antibodies, cell therapy, mRNA et
al.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement global clinical biomarker strategies for our
oncology and immuno-therapy programs.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and execute
biomarker-driven clinical trials.
Manage and oversee external collaborations with academic
institutions, contract research organizations, and other partners
in the field of biomarker discovery.
Lead the development and validation of biomarker assays for
clinical use, including proficiency testing, analytical validation,
and clinical validation.
Establish and oversee quality control procedures related to
biomarker analysis.
Analyze biomarker data and generate reports to support clinical
decision-making.
Communicate biomarker data to internal stakeholders, external
partners, and regulatory authorities.
Participate in the preparation of regulatory submissions related to
biomarkers for oncology and immuno-therapy programs.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Ph.D. in a relevant scientific discipline with 8 plus years of
experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry, with a
focus on biomarker science for oncology and immunotherapy.
Strong knowledge of biomarker discovery and development in clinical
trials, including assay development, validation, and data
analysis.Demonstrated experience in leading clinical biomarker
development for innovative early clinical development.
Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams in the
development and execution of biomarker strategies for clinical
trials.
Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to
generate scientific reports and presentations.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic
environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior scientists
