Pay: $2,021 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Ridgeway Post Acute Location: Petaluma, CA Ridgeway Post Acute is seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dedicated rehab team. Competitive pay Flexible scheduling options: full-time, part-time, or PRN Continuing education and career development support Collaborative rehab team and supportive leadership Rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of seniors and rehab patients Responsibilities Work under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist to provide therapy services Assist with implementing individualized treatment plans to improve resident independence Deliver interventions that support daily living skills, mobility, and overall function Accurately document treatment sessions and resident progress Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to maximize patient outcomes Support residents and their families with education and encouragement Essential Duties Treat patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist. Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes per OT Board. Treat patients per the physician treatment plan. Assist nursing department with training of Restorative Aides. Communicate with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, problem and plans. Participate in in-services training program for other staff in the facility. Record evaluations, daily treatment notes, weekly progress notes, recertification documentation, per Occupational Therapy Board State Practice Act and governmental and third-party payer requirements. Record treatment changes per policy and procedures. Instruct patient s families or nursing staff in maintenance program and caregiver training in preparation for discharge from therapy services. Participate in discharge planning. Assist with cleaning and maintenance of treatment area. Report any problems with department equipment so that it is maintained in good working order. Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with patients/residents, families, staff and professional colleagues. Qualification Education and/or Experience Licensed as a Staff Occupational Therapy Assistant Board of the State.
