The role involves caring for patients who have undergone cardiac surgeries. The patient-to-nurse ratio is typically 1:1 to 1:2. Nurses may participate in charge duties and oversee staff as needed. The unit has 20 beds and supports various critical care protocols. Familiarity with advanced cardiac devices and monitoring is essential. Nurses will be responsible for administering medications and managing critical drips. Shifts consist of 12 hours overnight with a focus on high-quality patient care. Weekend and holiday shifts are part of the schedule rotation. Self-scheduling allows for flexibility, but management will finalize schedules.
