We are seeking a dynamic Food Service Director to lead our food service operations within an educational institution, ensuring not only the quality of food and service but also aligning with our mission of enriching and nourishing lives. This role requires strategic oversight, team leadership, and a passion for culinary excellence. Oversee the daily operations of campus dining services, coordinating with other departments to ensure a seamless service experience Manage budgeting, planning, and execution of food service programs while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations Lead, train, and motivate staff to achieve excellence in customer service, culinary quality, and operational effectiveness Innovate and implement menu options that meet the diverse culinary preferences and dietary needs of the community Collaborate with senior leadership to align culinary services with the overall goals of the educational institution Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, managing contracts and negotiations to benefit service and budget objectives Regularly evaluate and report on performance metrics, setting goals for continuous improvement Proven ability to manage and lead a diverse team in a dynamic environment Strong financial acumen for budget management and cost control Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for dealing with diverse stakeholders Capability to plan menus, understanding nutritional and dietary considerations Proficient in food service management software and tools Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Food Service Manager (CFSM) ServSafe certification preferred
