The Human Resources Generalist plays an active role in carrying out the day-to-day global operations of the Human Resources Department to ensure all staff feel supported and valued by Aryaka. The HR Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties in a friendly and professional manner. This position must ensure the company is compliant with current regulations and follows best practices in the following areas: benefits administration, employee relations, workers compensation administration, immigration, training, performance management, onboarding, offboarding and employment law compliance.

  • Lead and promote HR initiatives and programs that align with corporate goals and values
  • Drive and implement HR policy and procedure initiatives that focus on enhancing the business, process improvements and documentations
  • Partner with the HR team and hiring managers to ensure a world-class candidate experience
  • Assist in audits including HRIS system, 401(k), Benefits database, Immigration database, Workers Compensation
  • Assist and facilitate performance review program, to include database maintenance, report generation, employee & manager training sessions, review of manager submitted reviews, and facilitation of Finance spreadsheets for annual merit, promotion, and bonus processing. Provide compensation appraisals to ensure job roles are compensated accurately and equitably
  • Provide employee relations support for employees and managers
  • Conduct and document workplace investigations, including PIPs
  • Conduct and document 30, 60, 90-day check ins with new hires
  • Perform Exit interviews
  • Assist with Learning and Development projects utilizing LinkedIn platform
  • Immigration process management and tracking, work closely with employees and managers to address their questions and concerns
  • Assist with the global new hire onboarding and orientation program on as needed basis.
  • Identify areas of opportunity for global operational efficiencies, work with appropriate functional owners on scalable solutions
  • Gather trends and metrics as it relates to retention, promotion, quality of hires, diversity
  • Act as a resource for global employees and managers on People related policies, programs, procedures and practices
  • Ownership of HRIS system, including data integrity and confidential maintenance of employee records
  • Manage leaves of absence and unemployment/disability claims
  • Coordinate annual Benefits Open Enrollment and act as the point person for employees' questions and issues
  • Coordinate employee social events
  • Keep current and ensure compliance with federal, state, local employment regulations
  • Assist with various HRIS reporting
  • Special projects as needed
    Requirements
    • BA/BS in a related discipline
    • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in an HR Generalist role
    • Demonstrated knowledge of California and Federal Labor Laws
    • Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). HRIS systems (Paylocity a plus), and comfortable learning new technology as needed
    • Experience in a global organization
    • Strong communication (oral/written), organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail and follow-up
    • Strong working knowledge of core HR disciplines, systems and processes, compliances, organizational development, and employee engagement programs
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
    • Self-starter mentality with a commitment to excellence and the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
      Bird's eye view of your role -
      • Prospect, educate, qualify, and develop leads into sales-ready opportunities (SALs) including quality meetings, as the first point of contact for a potential customer
      • Monitor market changes and the competition
      • For lead generation, tactics include cold calling, cold emailing, and networking. Sources include insights collected from behavioral data, customer profiles, and other relevant data
      • Brainstorming new ways to attract your target audience and generate genuine interest including social selling
      • Document all Activities in Salesforce to ensure efficient lead management
      • Exceed monthly and quarterly targets
