Job Description:

Using your established experience in the analysis of large-scale next generation sequencing data, you will be responsible for the ongoing operations and maintenance of our clinical production analysis pipeline, from the execution of analysis of sequenced data to generation of quality control metrics. The efforts to manage cloud-based production queues and scale production level data analysis on the fly will enable the timely delivery of data as part of a liquid biopsy molecular diagnostic assay. These methods are crucial for providing clinicians and patients with data to improve outcomes for cancer patients. Using your familiarity with leading edge cloud based computational platforms and their application to data rich genomic systems you will: Process and analyze sequencing datasets in our clinical environment. Execute bioinformatics pipeline workflows Perform QC reviews and troubleshooting of pipeline results Responsible for continuous integration of development features, requiring careful comparisons, monitoring and testing as part of pipeline stewardship. Create and maintain appropriate documentation of the clinical pipeline and clinical environment Support rigorous change control procedures Provide feedback and improvements to further optimize and enhance the analysis workflow. Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, biology and/or genomics or equivalent with 3 years of related experience within (ideally) a regulated computing environment Experience working within dockerized environments. Competent using unix command line and command line interfaces Familiar with bioinformatics file formats Comfortable working with existing python, R and shell scripts Knowledge and practical experience applying bioinformatic tools Familiarity with git, wiki markup, AWS Possess a great attention to detail in executing your work, ranging from the creation of documentation, to pattern recognition enabling investigation of trends for further discussion. Excellent communication skills across multiple platforms, both written and verbal is an important part of the daily operations and excellent interpersonal and teaming skills.
