Job Description:
Join Clean Harbors, a North American leader in environmental,
energy, and industrial services, as an OTR Class A Driver for Dry
Van operations. This role is pivotal as it helps in ensuring the
safe and efficient transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous
waste, contributing to our goal of protecting the environment. You
will be operating in adherence to stringent safety standards while
facilitating emergency response and waste disposal processes. This
position not only requires technical driving skills but also
demands a high level of responsibility and adherence to
environmental safety protocols. Safely operate Dry Van trucks over
long distances while complying with federal and state regulations.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safety and
maintenance of the vehicle. Manage routes and schedules
efficiently, adhering to delivery timelines. Load and unload cargo,
verifying loads against shipping papers and securing cargo for
transport. Maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle service
and repair status, following applicable state and federal
regulations. Enhance sustainability practices by minimizing waste
and enforcing safe disposal in transit. Communicate effectively
with dispatch and compliance staff to report any incidents or
compliance issues. Proficient in operating Class A commercial
vehicles. Knowledge of hazardous materials transport regulations
(HAZMAT). Strong navigation ability and familiarity with electronic
logging devices (ELDs). Excellent time management to meet tight
delivery schedules. Physical stamina and dexterity needed for
loading and unloading cargo. Medical Insurance 401k Valid Class A
Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). HAZMAT Endorsement is preferred.
Clean driving record. DOT physical exam certificate.
