Tile for life.About TileTile is best known today for its market-leading Bluetooth finders with over 35 million units sold and ~5M items located daily. That said, Tile has recently expanded the devices that are findable by its platform by embedding its software into third-party products. Over 30 billion Bluetooth devices are shipping over the next 5 years and each of these can be Tile-enabled with a software update. Partnerships have been announced with HP for laptops, leading audio headset OEMs like Bose and SkullCandy, and several others. Tile also has a large portfolio of unannounced OEM partnerships with top brands in many other large verticals (e.g. wearables, bikes, etc.) and is integrating its technology on the Bluetooth chips to make the Tile enablement more seamless for these partners (e.g. Tile has a partnership with Intel for PCs). In addition to the OEM and chip partnerships, Tile is scaling its finding network by entering into access point partnerships with companies like Google, Amazon, and Comcast (all announced and ongoing).From a business model perspective, Tile is shifting the relationship with its customers from a transactional device sale to offering a long-term, high-value service. Tile introduced its premium service two years ago and has ~400K subscribers today with a specific focus on growing annual recurring revenue. About the RoleOur analytics team is growing to keep up with demand for our products and new partnerships, and stay on the cutting edge in all things related to acquisition. The team is looking for a Principal Analyst, Marketing Analytics who will be responsible for analyzing data, finding insights, and making recommendations to drive informed decision-making for Tile's marketing teams, and will work closely with finance on the implications of our always-evolving marketing strategy. This person will develop data pipelines, build reports, dashboards and presentations for key business reviews, build predictive models and forecasts, and provide ad-hoc analysis to support our growth, PBM, and CRM initiatives. At the start, the right person for this role will be able to jump in, in close cooperation with the digital marketing team, to pressure test and re-develop our digital marketing analytics function using the right frameworks for data governance, integration, reporting and optimization. Based on defined data sources, you will manage the generation of digital traffic diagnostics and insights that help to achieve and exceed sales plans. You will contribute to a factual basis for future consumer acquisition and experience optimization.This is a great opportunity to join a small team and quickly have a big impact on the customer experience, in a role that is part strategic, and part tactical.What you'll be doingAnalyze large scale data including product usage data, customer relationship data, digital marketing data, and external data sources to uncover customer behavioral patterns and develop strategies that drive acquisition and retention at Tile; translate that work into actionable and measurable recommendationsThis is a very hands on position, you will be coding in SQL and Python on a daily basis, querying large datasets of marketing and user data, building data pipelines (in collaboration with data engineering), mining insights, developing visualizations and building presentationsLead the development and execution of defined digital analytics practices aligned to ad tech frameworks, including service portfolio for: Traffic Planning & Analysis, Paid media attribution Analysis, RTB Campaign Media Effectiveness Analysis and Optimization, Social Traffic and CRM & Consumer Engagement AnalyticsDevelop predictive models including but not limited to: churn prediction, forecasting, attribution, customer LTV modeling, subscriptionsInitiate campaign optimization and improvement, and work closely with the digital marketing team in areas such as demand optimization, analytics implementation, database integration, marketing attribution, UTM tag management, qualitative data, etc.Advise market stakeholders on the value and use digital analytics to define goals, measure appropriate KPIs, monitor performance and derive trends and opportunitiesPartner with the sales team to better understand the impact of advertising on ecommerce on, but also at other online and offline retailers; take the lead on building an experimental approach to understand the impact of promotions and incrementality Create, automate and deliver reports and dashboards that provide insights into Tile's customer lifecycle, partner products, subscriptions, and other programsPartner with consumer insights team to better understand the impact of hard to measure marketing campaigns and attributionRequirementsPrior experience working with digital marketing teams, analyzing the effectiveness of promotions, measuring the impact advertising campaigns have across channels, building LTV models, understanding and modeling attribution, and driving optimization of a direct to consumer businessExcellent SQL skills and deep understanding of relational and NoSQL databasesMinimum 6 years experience in analyzing and visualizing data related to marketing analytics and partnering directly with digital marketing teamsExpert with web tools such as Google Analytics and AB testing tools Great attention to detail and ability to synthesize, visualize, and communicate your ideas and insights to othersProven ability to leverage business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Mode, to build interactive dashboardsExperience in big data environment (Presto/Hive/Spark); building predictive models in Python/R Experience with analytics tools and disciplines (web, eCom, social, mobile, sentiment, paid media, SEO, SEM, CRM)Great understanding of statistical analysis and experimental designEntrepreneurial self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced, fast-growing environmentBS or MS degree from a quantitative major: Statistics, Math, Data Science, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics or related fieldBenefitsOwn equity in the company - every employee is a stakeholder in our futureWork with an adept team of people who love what they doFlexible work programComprehensive health insurance, dental, vision, 401k, and pre-tax commuter deductionWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
