We have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Project Engineer to support the bay area Facilities Project Management team. The project engineer is responsible creating the Project development plans with estimations of projects for multiple business units.Job DetailsScheduling meetings, reviewing materials, and gaining consensus for project development activitiesCoordinates with project architects, designers, owners, and field personnel.Responsible for Request for Information (RFI) and submittal process during PDPManages project subcontractors as assigned per owned projectsActs as the "information hub" for project to office and field personnel to ensure continuity of work handed over to PM's.Offers technical information to project manager to ensure work complies with applicable codes, drawings, and specifications.Monitor and track project quality control metrics and activities on a regular basis, provide timely and accurate quality reports, and raise issues to PM or Superintendent as appropriate. May coordinate change orders, expedite material, and job site equipment if needed for site run projects.Create/Assist with preparation of estimates, and compile data to assist in analyzing project progressInspects all work to assure compliance with plans and specifications. Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.Oversees performance of all trade contractors and reviews architectural and engineering drawings to ensure that all specifications and regulations are being followed.QualificationsGraduate of a four-year degree program in construction management, construction science or civil engineering Mechanical EngineeringIdeal candidate will have an Engineering background, 4 plus years' experience Must be well versed with Microsoft office products such as word, excel, and outlookMust be able to read construction drawings and blueprintsStrong understanding of the entire construction processStrong AutoCAD skills, Revit and BluebeamDemonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.Good oral and written communication skills.Skills Project Engineering (2 years of experience is required)Manufacturing (2 years of experience is required)CAD (1 year of experience is required)Responsibilities:Lead planning studies and analyze existing space useDevelop options for facility renovationsFacilities renovation planning, infrastructure planning, space efficiencies and the preparation of Project Planning Guides, which are documents used to justify and explain physical projectsCollection, analysis, organization and presentation of information and data obtained from professional staff, other administration and operations groups and consultantsProvide reports and presentations on proposed projects and policiesConducts research on space-related issues, analyzes situations accurately and develops corrective solutions in the selection of alternate approaches to space utilization.Projects space needs based on organization growth and changes.Calculates space and related requirements using mathematical and programmatic formula to optimize space available.Perform other duties as assigned.Listed responsibilities are an essential, but not exhaustive list, of the usual duties associated with the position.
