Career Opportunities with Mission Neighborhood CentersA great place to work.Careers At Mission Neighborhood CentersCurrent job opportunities are posted here as they become available.Under the supervision of the Youth Services Program Supervisor, the Senior Program Lead is responsible for supporting and co-leading youth programs in various capacities. Plan, organize, and implement youth programs during the school year and summer. Conduct programs, supervise activities, and oversee day-to-day operations, including staff coverage and the RAICES contract.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and support program staff to maintain high performance and collaboration.
  • Manage collection development and evaluation for youth and teen collections, ensuring high-quality, engaging materials for various reading levels.
  • Enter, edit, and retrieve data from reports and spreadsheets; prepare reports; create or update program forms; perform data entry as needed.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as communication, supply orders, and snack coordination.
  • Assist with behavior management to foster a nurturing environment.
  • Ensure participant safety and supervision, following safety guidelines and reporting concerns.
  • Create and execute short- and long-term plans with clear milestones and deadlines.
  • Implement evaluation plans for contracts to measure impact and ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate communication and marketing efforts for youth programs, including social media, website content, and newsletters, in partnership with the administration.
  • Stay informed on community issues relevant to the organization's mission.
  • Prioritize tasks efficiently, handle issues proactively, and follow through on projects.
  • Participate in city and community meetings to align programs with community needs.
  • Attend staff meetings, generate reports, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare reports for leadership and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Assist with special projects and events as needed.Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service and represent the organization professionally.Safety
      • Maintain personal safety, use PPE, and follow safety policies.
      • Report safety issues, accidents, or injuries promptly.
      • Promote health and safety protocols for participants.Effective Team Member
        • Interact positively with team members.
        • Facilitate positive change and partner with supervisors on issues.POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSEducation: Preferred AS Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Business Administration, or related; Bachelor's preferred.Experience: 2+ years in nonprofit work, trauma-informed practices, and supporting management.Requirements:
          • Valid CA Driver's License, auto insurance, and clean driving record.Skills and Abilities:
            • Independent thinker with excellent customer service, professionalism, integrity, and maturity.
            • Ability to multitask, prioritize, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively.
