The Role: BigHat Biosciences is seeking an exceptional data science consultant to accelerate our selection of therapeutic programs.
This role reports directly to the Programs Data Science Lead. This role has the potential to grow into a full-time position.Key ResponsibilitiesThe goals and responsibilities of this position include:

• 
  
• Development of databases and pipelines for the identification of therapeutic targets from gene and protein expression data.
  
• Prioritization of co-expressed targets for utilization in therapeutics.
  
• Identification of areas of major therapeutic opportunity across a diverse set of diseases.
  About You
  • 
    
  • PhD or current PhD student in a relevant domain [Computational Biology, Statistics, Computer Science, Bioengineering, or similar].
    
  • Experience with bulk and single cell RNAseq data and protein expression data, including: working with public data sources (i.e. TCGA, Human Protein Atlas, Human Cell Atlas, GTEx), identifying gene signatures of disease.
    
  • Competency in Python, R, or similar programming languages.
    
  • Excellent communication skills, experience interacting with diverse scientific teams.
    
  • Enjoys a fast paced environment and executing across multiple projects.
