This hybrid role requires a high degree of sales acumen, coupled with a client support discipline, and focuses on maximizing renewal rates and driving new, incremental sales opportunities. This position is based in San Mateo, CA, but is currently remote due to COVID-19.Responsibilities• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets• Use LinkedIn, ZoomInfo and other tools to map out potential new buyers/budgets• Understand IDC's product offerings and identify new client buying centers• Make cold calls/emails to potential new clients within targeted accounts describing new products of interest and setup qualified meetings for GAMs to sell IDC Key products• The individual will work closely with sales management, marketing as well with GAMs and Client Service Representatives (CSR) internally.• Partner with sales and research teams to create solutions that meet client needs• Understand the client's evolving business priorities and research requirements • Facilitate onboarding new contacts/BUs, create quarterly business value reports and participate in annual business/renewal reviews• Support the Global Account Manager on account strategy while monitoring account health, engagement levels, and opportunity capture• Identify and help cultivate potential consulting opportunities• Arrange for quality and timely delivery of content and analyst engagement to ensure client success and that IDC value to the client is maximized• Manage forecast process in Salesforce• Manage Marketo requirements/responses• Manage with Global Account Manager any event/webinar attendee follow-up• Manage proposal worksheets in Excel• Create and manage renewal proposals and SOWs as needed• Provide oversight of monthly newsletters for relevant and accurate content along with Client Service RepresentativeQualifications• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience• 2+ years working in a fast-paced sales support or business development role• Demonstrated success working on a sales team selling complex goods and services to technology vendors• Previous experience in cold calling, inside/telesales, supporting multiple GAMS, and account management/customer service preferred• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word• Experience with Salesforce.com preferred• Strong communications/writing skills• Up to 10% travel (post COVID) About IDC: International Data Corporation (IDC) is the premier global provider of market intelligence, advisory services, and events for the information technology, telecommunications and consumer technology markets.
