OverviewIDC is seeking a Manager to organize, develop and advance the US Sales Support Specialist organization. -The Manager, Sales Support Specialists, will be responsible for coordinating what is a disparate sales support function today into a well-coordinated, dedicated, and cohesive team that is optimized for future growth.The SUPS (Sales Support Specialist) teams primary role is sales support, bookings, customer access/delivery, invoicing, and pre-sales activities. The SUPS team is critical to both the overall US sales team success and IDC customer experience. In addition to working with the sales organization the SUPS team works closely with Finance, Production/Publishing, Product Management, and Customer Experience.The Manager, Sales Support Specialists, will report directly to the SVP of US Vendor Sales and be a key member of the US Sales Leadership Team. -This role will be based in either IDCs Needham, MA or San Mateo, CA office. -Why IDC? -IDC is the most respected global technology market research firm. - We are changing the way the world thinks about the impact of technology on business and society. We are just getting started!Responsibilities Develop a workload framework by which account/rep assignments are determined Evaluate and author business justifications for additional SUPS resources as required Identify and communicate SUPS duties, responsibilities, and exemptions to the US sales organization Lead all hiring initiatives including the creation of a SUPS job description, posting, and interviewing Formalize and coordinate all SUPS training and onboarding Work closely with other SLT members to insure adequate account/business coverage Optimization of tools, processes, and policies to maximize efficiency and effectiveness Meet regularly with team members to review job performance and provide feedback Day to day operations of SUPS function to optimize the sales support functionQualifications Bachelors degree or equivalent experience 5+ years of previous experience as a Customer Service Representative/ Sales Support Specialist Superior communication skills written and verbal Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and a proven ability to learn new software and web-based systems Salesforce.com experience is required -Successful applicants for this position must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment. - Requests for reasonable accommodation based on disability or religion will be considered on an individual basis. -About IDC: -International Data Corporation (IDC) is the premier global provider of market intelligence, advisory services, and events for the information technology, telecommunications and consumer technology markets.
